Handweavers Guild of America Founded in 1969 to inspire creativity and encourage excellence in the fiber arts, the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc., brings together weavers, spinners, dyers, basketmakers, fiber artists and educators. HGA provides educational programs, conferences, and an award-winning quarterly publication, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot, to its members as it seeks to increase awareness of and appreciation for the fiber arts. |

TWIST (Tablet Weavers' International Studies and Techniques) The purpose of TWIST is to promote the appreciation of tablet weaving and the development of tablet weaving skills through the journal, an Internet discussion group and web site, and exhibitions |

Western North Carolina Fibers/Handweavers Guild, Inc. The guild exists to promote participation in and appreciation of fine craftsmanship as related to textile arts. The Guild sponsors study groups, classes and workshops, publishes a newsletter, maintains a library, promotes exhibit opportunities, and provides avenues for community service. |
